Introducing Lamp Posts, a new Lamp feature that shines a small light on the art and science of learning. This feature is inspired by James M. Lang’s book Small Teaching: Everyday Lessons from the Science of Learning(2016) and by faculty interested in shorter readings that encourage online discussions about teaching and learning. Lamp Posts  work as a way to generate dialogue about materials and findings relevant to our work as educators. They provide specific and deliberate strategies that teachers can use immediately in their classrooms or to inform their design of class materials, questions, and assessments.
